Repent- change your mind

Acts 2:36-38(NKJV)

36 “Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly that God has made this Jesus, whom you crucified, both Lord and Christ.”

37 Now when they heard this, they were cut to the heart, and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, “Men and brethren, what shall we do?”

38 Then Peter said to them, “Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the [k]remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

Repent

to change one's mind

39 For the promise is to you and to your children, and to all who are afar off, as many as the Lord our God will call.”

-The people had to become aware of the truth.  They had to truly hear.

-The truth should cause pain when you have been believing a lie.

-What do we do with this truth?

There is Truth coming to the World- we are to bring the GOOD NEWS of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

2 Cor 5:7(NKJV)

For we walk by faith, not by sight.

2 Cor 5:7(AMP)

For we walk by faith [we [b]regulate our lives and conduct ourselves by our conviction or belief respecting man’s relationship to God and divine things, with trust and holy fervor; thus we walk] not by sight or appearance.

We as Christians walk by faith- our conviction of belief regulates our conduct and thinking.

Walk by faith not by sight

It is not a “leap of faith”- it is a walk of faith

You have to see where you are going

We don’t take a leap of faith- there is no conviction in that- that is by chance- we walk by promise not chance.

Psalm 119:105(NKJV)

105

Your word is a lamp to my feet

And a light to my path.

To walk with conviction you have to see where you are going.

The Word gives light so you have VISION.

Proverbs 29:18(KJV)

18 Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he.

Proverbs 29:18(NLT)

18

When people do not accept divine guidance, they run wild.

But whoever obeys the law is joyful.

Romans 10:17(NKJV)

17 So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

Romans 4:20-22(NKJV)

20 He did not waver at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God, 21 and being fully convinced that what He had promised He was also able to perform. 22 And therefore “it was accounted to him for righteousness.”

Faith is strengthened- a stubborn strength- regardless

Romans 4:20-21(NLT)

20 Abraham never wavered in believing God’s promise. In fact, his faith grew stronger, and in this he brought glory to God. 21 He was fully convinced that God is able to do whatever he promises.

Romans 4:20-21(TPT)

20–21 He never stopped believing God’s promise, for he was made strong in his faith[n] to father a child. And because he was mighty in faith and convinced that God had all the power needed to fulfill his promises, Abraham glorified God!

You have to stubbornly grab on the light of the Word to illuminate the path before you

It is a Vision quest- your walk with the Lord
