Jas 1:21(NKJV)
¶
Therefore lay aside all filthiness and overflow of wickedness, and receive with meekness the implanted word, which is able to save your souls.
¶
But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.
For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man observing his natural face in a mirror;
for he observes himself, goes away, and immediately forgets what kind of man he was.
But he who looks into the perfect law of liberty and continues in it, and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work, this one will be blessed in what he does.
How does one receive blessing???
Psa 24:4(NKJV)
He who has clean hands and a pure heart,
Who has not lifted up his soul to an idol,
Nor sworn deceitfully.
He shall receive blessing from the LORD,
And righteousness from the God of his salvation.
Gal 5:1,13(NKJV)
5 Stand[a] fast therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and do not be entangled again with a yoke of bondage.
13 For you, brethren, have been called to liberty; only do not use liberty as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another.
Freedom isn’t based on circumstance-
I know a man who was imprisoned in a state of the flesh, a spirit and soul lost without Christ- Free in the natural but imprisoned in the spiritual.
But naturally put into prison he was set free by the only One qualified to set the captives free. See Jesus set this man free while naturally in prison- set free and sealed with liberty by the Holy Spirit who then set him free in the natural in order that he could share what he had received.
Now the Lord is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.
And I will walk at liberty,
For I seek Your precepts.
Pslams 119:45(TPT)
45
I will walk with you in complete freedom,
for I seek to follow your every command.
“The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon Me,
Because the LORD has anointed Me
To preach good tidings to the poor;
He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted,
To proclaim liberty to the captives,
And the opening of the prison to those who are bound;
1Pe 2:13(NKJV)
¶
Therefore submit yourselves to every ordinance of man for the Lord’s sake, whether to the king as supreme,
1 Pe 2:14
or to governors, as to those who are sent by him for the punishment of evildoers and for the praise of those who do good.
For this is the will of God, that by doing good you may put to silence the ignorance of foolish men—
as free, yet not using liberty as a cloak for vice, but as bondservants of God.
Honor all people. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honor the king.
“This day ought to be commemorated as a day of deliverance by solemn acts of devotion to God almighty.”
