Favor:  friendly regard shown toward another especially by a superior.

God has favorites?  Let me show show you,

James 1:18 TPT
God was delighted to give us birth by the truth of his infallible Word so that we would fulfill his chosen destiny for us and become the favorite ones out of all his creation!

James 1:18 NLT
He chose to give birth to us by giving us his true word. And we, out of all creation, became his prized possession.

From the beginning of time God chose us as His favorite.
We are created in God’s image by choice.
Think of that. He could make us any way he wanted but chose to make us in his image.

Jonah, Elijah, Joesph, Paul,

All were Gods favorite but found themselves in situations that were not favorable.

These are not great situations but God:

Romans 8:28 NKJV
And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.

How do we know we are a favorite? James 1:18

God has favorites and you have access to him.  He has promised theses things

Healing, protection, prosperity, peace, love, joy.

Psalm 23:1-6 NKJV
The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. [2] He makes me to lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still waters. [3] He restores my soul; He leads me in the paths of righteousness For His name's sake. [4] Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; For You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. [5] You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You anoint my head with oil; My cup runs over. [6] Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me All the days of my life; And I will dwell in the house of the LORD Forever.

Psalm 23:1-6 TPT
David's poetic praise to God The Lord is my best friend and my shepherd. I always have more than enough. [2] He offers a resting place for me in his luxurious love. His tracks take me to an oasis of peace, the quiet brook of bliss. [3] That's where he restores and revives my life. He opens before me pathways to God's pleasure and leads me along in his footsteps of righteousness so that I can bring honor to his name. [4] Lord, even when your path takes me through the valley of deepest darkness, fear will never conquer me, for you already have! You remain close to me and lead me through it all the way. Your authority is my strength and my peace. The comfort of your love takes away my fear. I'll never be lonely, for you are near. [5] You become my delicious feast even when my enemies dare to fight. You anoint me with the fragrance of your Holy Spirit; you give me all I can drink of you until my heart overflows. [6] So why would I fear the future? For your goodness and love pursue me all the days of my life. Then afterward, when my life is through, I'll return to your glorious presence to be forever with you!

What David is saying is that no matter the circumstances you find yourself in, you ARE God’s favorite.

God is a delicious feast in times of uncertainty or impending battle. What’s cool about that is that Jesus says He is the bread of life. He also says that when we drink of him we will never thirst  again!
