John 14:15-18(NKJV)

15 “If you love Me, [d]keep My commandments. 16 And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another [e]Helper, that He may abide with you forever— 17 the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you. 18 I will not leave you orphans; I will come to you.

-Jesus was always the Son of God, but came to earth to be the Son of Man, the Second Adam to die and pay for my sins, saving those who believe.  He showed us the way by being baptized with water, then beginning His ministry on earth as the Holy Spirit descended like a dove and rested on Him.  He was showing us we needed the Holy Spirit to do everything on this earth.

John 16:7(AMP)

However, I am telling you nothing but the truth when I say it is profitable (good, expedient, advantageous) for you that I go away. Because if I do not go away, the Comforter (Counselor, Helper, Advocate, Intercessor, Strengthener, Standby) will not come to you [into close fellowship with you]; but if I go away, I will send Him to you [to be in close fellowship with you].

We need help….

Will we receive His help?

We must follow where He leads.

Jer 29:11 (AMP)

11 For I know the thoughts and plans that I have for you, says the Lord, thoughts and plans for welfare and peace and not for evil, to give you hope in your final outcome.

John 10:10(NKJV)

10 The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.

Enemy wants to steal the Truth from you- the Truth of God’s Word in order to get off target- get off the plan God has for you.

Psalm 119:105(NKJV)

105

Your word is a lamp to my feet

And a light to my path.

John 8:31-32(NKJV)

31 Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, “If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. 32 And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”

Knowing God’s Word will help you stay on target- help you stay Spirit led. Keeping you on His path. Declaring God’s Word is important, vitally important and yet if we don’t obey His Word and follow the leading of the Holy Spirit, we are just asking God to bless my plan or bless my mess.

Hebrews 12:1-2(NLT)

12 Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith, let us strip off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily trips us up. And let us run with endurance the race God has set before us. We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, the champion who initiates and perfects our faith.[a] Because of the joy[b] awaiting him, he endured the cross, disregarding its shame. Now he is seated in the place of honor beside God’s throne.

Galatians 5:13(NKJV)

13 For you, brethren, have been called to liberty; only do not use liberty as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another.

We have been called to liberty- free in this world regardless of our circumstance.  Being Spirit led is keeping our Heart Eyes on the Helper Jesus said would come.  Keeping our eyes on His Word which is Him.  And then obeying His Word as we walk out the plan He has set before us.

2 Cor 3:16-18(NKJV)

16 Nevertheless when one turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away. 17 Now the Lord is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. 18 But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as [b]by the Spirit of the Lord.

2 Cor 3:16-18(TPT)

16 But the moment one turns to the Lord[j] with an open heart, the veil is lifted and they see.[k] 17 Now, the “Lord” I’m referring to is the Holy Spirit,[l] and wherever he is Lord, there is freedom.

18 We can all draw close to him with the veil removed from our faces. And with no veil we all become like mirrors who brightly reflect the glory of the Lord Jesus.[m] We are being transfigured[n] into his very image as we move from one brighter level of glory to another.[o] And this glorious transfiguration comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.[p]

Galatians 5:16-18(NKJV)

16 I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. 17 For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, so that you do not do the things that you wish. 18 But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law.

Galatians 5:16-18(NLT)

1So I say, let the Holy Spirit guide your lives. Then you won’t be doing what your sinful nature craves. 17 The sinful nature wants to do evil, which is just the opposite of what the Spirit wants. And the Spirit gives us desires that are the opposite of what the sinful nature desires. These two forces are constantly fighting each other, so you are not free to carry out your good intentions. 18 But when you are directed by the Spirit, you are not under obligation to the law of Moses.

Galatians 5:16-18(TPT)

16 Let me emphasize this: As you yield to the dynamic life and power of the Holy Spirit, you will abandon the cravings of your self-life.[g] 17 When your self-life craves the things that offend the Holy Spirit you hinder him from living free within you! And the Holy Spirit’s intense cravings hinder your self-life from dominating you! So then, the two incompatible and conflicting forces within you are your self-life of the flesh and the new creation life of the Spirit.[h]

18 But when you yield to the life of the Spirit,[i] you will no longer be living under the law, but soaring above it!
